Hebridean Black SheepJuly 22nd, 2010 I’ve been working hard on new paintings for the last two months, getting paintings finished for my new show, Cats, Dogs and Other Animals, at Ripley Arts Centre in Bromley next week. This one is Louisa, a Hebridean sheep. They are very beautiful sheep and a joy to paint. This is a 12×12 inch acrylic painting on board. If you want to see her you’ll need to come along to the Ripley Arts Centre, the show is on until August the 28th.
Wool GathererMay 19th, 2010 One of the black Hebridean sheep from the Ashdown forest flock. This is an oil painting on board. It took ages to get it right and I very nearly abandoned it. But all of a sudden it seemed to come together.
I’m glad it did because these eyes are quite something.
Here it is framed. |
