This is Indy, a brindle and white Boxer bitch. This is a 16x16 acrylic painting on canvas board.

Here’s how it was painted….

Stage 1

The first sketched lines on the canvas over a warm neutral background.

Stage 2

The under painting starts to develop the shapes using ochre and browns.

Starting with her eyes and head I'm bringing in detail and using more colours. There are reds, greens, golds and blues in her coat.

The Finished Painting

This is the finished painting of Indy. It's a 16x16 inch acrylic painting on canvas board. She is a lively, energetic and sweet natured young Boxer bitch. I've tried to get her personality into the painting and to include lots of colours in her coat.
