The starlings are back in my local park. They had vanished for quite a few years but now we have several pairs who come and nest in the park. I love listening to them chatter and call to each other. This one was searching the grass for insects and it was keeping an eye on me as I sat on the bench and watched them foraging.
He is painted on 10×7 inch watercolour paper and I’ve used iridescent colours to bring out those shimmering feathers, purples greens, blues and golds.
