A close-up tabby with one bright golden eye, gorgeous stripes, and that wonderfully thoughtful expression cats do so well. I painted him in watercolour, with soft wet-in-wet colour, expressive tabby markings, and a bright yellow eye that brings the whole piece to life. I finished the painting with my favourite little touch, shimmering gold whiskers. Is he being soulful? Curious? Mildly unimpressed? Probably all three.
