This is a little painting of Ollie, a Selkirk Rex cat. I wanted to paint a little portrait on a gold background. It’s such a lovely warm colour and the gold gleams in the light. I love the way little bits of gold peek through the paint and surprise you. It gives him some extra sparkle. Plus it looks good against his coat colour and every cat likes to look his best doesnt he? :-)
