Poppy is a lively Border Terrier who loves walking with her people in the gorgeous Lake District where she lives. Lucky girl, it’s a beautiful part of the UK. Here she is with her favourite toy in her favourite space.

What a wonderful opportunity to paint her in the landscape! And so many wonderful colours too, I loved painting this one. Both Poppy herself and the landscape behind her are full of warm colours, golds and ochres, violets, purples and reds. And plenty of green too of course.
